Infinity Scarf

Infinity scarf, the scarf that goes on and on and on and on…ok you get the picture!

You will need –

Infinity Scarf

Long Scarf Piece of fabric measuring 115cm by 92cm

Short Scarf Piece of fabric measuring 90cm by 72cm

Pins

Scissors

Needle/ Thread

Matching cotton

Sewing Machine

Tape Measure

Step 1. Measure the fabric. See above for sizes.Infinity Scarf

Step 2. Cut two rectangles – Short scarf – 90cm by 36cm – 2 of. Long Scarf – 115cm by 46cm – 2 of.

If you worried about not being able to cut a straight line, measure the width needed several times along the edge and create a pin line for you to follow whilst cutting.

Step 3. Place right sides together. Pin each side.

Step  4. Thread the machine with a matching colour {or one that is close enough if your me!} Sew along both edges; with a hem of around  1cm.

Step 5. Turn inside out. You will now have a tube { see below }

Step 6. Fold in half and pin the two inside edges together.

Step 7. Sew along the edge.

Step 8. Turn the scarf inside out and pin the other sides together. The previous side you have sewn will now match up with this stitching.

Step 9. Sew along the edge and ensure you leave around a 7cm gap, to allow you to turn the scarf inside out again.

Step 10. Pull the right side of the scarf completely through the 7cm gap and using a simple {ladder or running} stitch, to sew up the opening.
